AHEC is a group of people who come together to network and share ideas, plan and develop bargaining strategies, organize public relations campaigns, and lobby the government on a variety of issues surrounding healthcare in Alberta. AHEC’s main objectives are:
- to ensure the advancement of the social, economic, and general welfare of healthcare workers in the province;
- to improve working conditions for all healthcare employees;
- to strengthen and unite healthcare employees through shared knowledge and information;
- and the promotion of a progressive and quality healthcare system.
